The Showcase
We began with 25 bands, your votes narrowed the field to the final four. On Wednesday, May 13th, the final four will play
at the TRCoA showcase at Stubb's. They need your support one last time. Come on down and show your support for your favorite band.
Doors open up at 8 pm.
The show is from 9 pm - midnight.
9:00 - Squint
9:45 - The Canvas Waiting
10:30 - Shorelines End
11:15 - Ted Hadji
The Canvas Waiting
Prominence is a quality that has gone by the wayside in the current age of alternative rock. The standard for instant success has become minor
tweaks of the same old thing, a crude deviation of the old adage, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” and it becomes clear how easily personal
sentiment becomes simply affectation. Through stunningly personal
lyrical inflections and lead by a sense of creativity straight from the soul, The Canvas Waiting has become a steadfast beacon for
those in search of a “fix.”
Squint
Transplants to Louisiana via the icy tundra of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Squint has always been a band focused on gathering
experiences to write about. Their incessant touring has consistently interfered with love and helped the band become deadly-accurate
portrait artists of broken relationships. Strong as their passion for writing music may be, they are a band ultimately devoted
to the live performance.
