TRCoA Open House

We are having our open house Saturday, February 7th, 4pm-6pm. We are excited about this months open house and hope to have a many attendees. Everyone is welcome. Come see the new facility and chat it up with some of TRCoA's students, mentors, engineers, and musicians. We will have food from Carrabba's Italian Grill.

Penny Creek Studios 2009 Studio Time Contest

Penny Creek Studios Win FREE Studio Time!
Penny Creek Studios, a recording studio co-op run by TRCoA graduates, have announced their Studio Time Contest. The winning prize will be a 10 song CD produced, recorded, mixed and mastered at Penny Creek Studios. 3 runner-ups will receive 1 free song recorded, mixed and mastered at Penny Creek Studios.

Jasper den Hartigh with Ghosts of the Throne

Ghosts of the Throne Jasper den Hartigh, a Beginning Audio Engineering student, has been in the studio working with Ghosts of the Throne. Influenced by the likes of Mogwai, Low, Sigur Ros, and Grizzly Bear, Ghosts of the Throne style has identifiable connections to genres like shoegaze, experimental and ambient rock. In the band are: Sterling Dowdy, Michael Delaney, Jasper den Hartigh, and Austin Matherne.

Rocky Tran with Augmentally Ill

Augmentally Ill The funky jazz soul experience known as Augmentally Ill has been in the studio with Rocky Tran, a Beginning Audio Engineering student. The core of the group is a trio comprised of Nathan "Nossi" Creeper on guitar, Danny Jenkins on drums, and James Harrington on bass. Frequent partner Simon Friedlander on alto sax join Augmentally Ill for this session. The group is currently gigging around Austin and is the backing band for hip hop artist Kevin Jack.

Nick Luna with dirty stereo

dirty stereo Nick Luna, a Beginning Audio Engineering student, has been in the studio working with dirty stereo. Formed on the foundation that the kids need their hype ass dance music like strobe lights need seizures. dirty.stereo united in austin, texas when MPC/microKORG prodigy, Nick Luna and key/synth/voc, Tim Chain met emcee/singer/frontman, Ontario Williams. the band was formed over an all night freestyle session with multiple high fives and "AWW S***S!!.

John Stinson with Matthew Lyon

Matthew Lyon John Stinson, founder of TRCoA and Stinson Recording Studios, has been in the studio with Matthew Lyons. Matthew is an up-and-coming classical guitarist, winning a number of contests he has entered. Listen to the beautiful J.S. Bach piece played by Matthew and recorded by John.
