Fall Semester Starts September 15th

We are currently pre-enrolling and getting geared up for the fall, September 15th start date.

First Friday Open House at TRCoA

First Friday will be August 3rd, 2007. Anybody who is interested in TRCoA or Stinson Studios is welcome. Please come see the studio and chat with some of TRCoA's students, mentors, engineers, and musicians. Questions and tour at 7p and festivities at 8p. TRCoA's Unsigned Artist Competition

TRCoA is excited to announce the First Annual Unsigned Artist Competition. Over the next seven weeks artists will be competing for one of four spots in the final showcase on Sunday, September 16th at Antone's Night Club. The prize for the winning artist is a 10 song CD produced, recorded, mixed and mastered at Stinson Recording Studio. Click here for more information.

Pro Tools Seminar: Tracking

On Monday, August 20th, TRCoA will hold its monthly installment of its five part Pro Tools seminar series (Songwriting, Tracking, Editing, Mixing, and Mastering). This month's installment will cover Tracking. John Stinson, founder of TRCoA, will host the seminar. The event will be from 6:00p - 10p and is mandatory for all current TRCoA Students and recommended for all TRCoA's Alumni that need a brush-up. Who's in the Studio

Scott Harris with Jessica Shepherd

Jessica Shepherd has been in the studio working with Scott Harris, a TRCoA Advanced Music Production student. The songs Jessica and Scott are working on are in the Americana/Texas Country music genre. Playing on the tracks with Jessica are: Kim Deschamps on Dobro & Pedal Steel, Nick Connolly on Keyboards, Kyle Judd on Lead Electric and Acoustic Guitars, Laurie Gibson (of the Gibson Sisters) on Fiddle, Dale Spalding on Harmonica, Perry Drake on Drums, Rob Jewett on Bass Guitar, Shelley King backing vocals, Floramay Holliday backing vocals and the Gibson Sisters (Sally and Laurie Gibson) on backing vocals as well. Kat Yarborough with brainframe

Kat Yarborough, a TRCoA Advanced Music Production student, is working with brainframe. This 5 piece group is Travis, Paul, Pat, Wade and Stephen playing on various things and instruments. Influenced by forgotten dreams and the dark corners of the mind, brainframe creates mood altering shoegazing and garage music. Listen to a clip from brainframe.

 

Josh Woodhouse with LANND

LAAND is in the studio working with Josh Woodhouse, a TRCoA alumni. LAAND is high energy duo combining Greek and American traditions creating music of diverse international flavor. The duo is made up of Andreas, on bouzouki and guitar and arranging all the background music, and Laura-Anna, singing and dancing. Listen to a clip from LAAND

 

Conspirare - Mendelssohn's Elijah

Grammy nominated Conspirare , based in Austin, Texas is a select group of professional singers from throughout the United States, known for evocative performances and hailed by critics as one of the finest choral groups in the nation. It has been a real honor to be an integral part of many of their recorded productions. TRCoA founder, John Stinson, recorded, mixed, and mastered the performance of Mendelssohn's Elijah.
