is pleased to announce that Christian Castle will be speaking to
the students of TRCoA on current and past music law, how music law

time to be determined.
Chris Castle has devoted most of the last 20 years
to practicing traditional music law and technology transactions.
He represented artists such as Sheryl Crow and Meredith Brooks and
producers such as Tom and Chris Lord Alge in his early years of
practice before moving in-house to be Vice President, Business &
Legal Affairs at A&M Records in Hollywood and Senior Vice President,

Chris' contribution to the technology community was recognized in
2005 when he was named a Fellow of the World Technology Network
at WTN's annual induction dinner in San Francisco. In addition to
traditional music and technology crossover matters, Chris advises
clients on matters of public policy and current legislation relating
to the copyright community. In 2000, he taught "The Music Business
and the Digital Millennium" as an adjunct professor at the
University of Texas School of Law, lectures on digital issues at
the Anderson School of Management and advised the Washington, DC-based
think tank, the Progress & Freedom Foundation, on entertainment
industry matters. His recent activity in the public policy area
includes speaking at the Copyright Society mid-winter meeting in
New Orleans, the OECD Digital Future conference in Rome, testifying
in London before the All Party Internet Group of the UK Parliament,
speaking at the State Bar of Texas Entertainment Law Symposium,
as well as a Congressional seminar on music licensing hosted by
