Basic audio is a one-on-one screen share class held one hour per week for 15 weeks taught by an industry professional. It introduces fundamentals of recording techniques and equipment used within a recording studio. Concepts such as defining what audio is, signal flow, patch bays, signal processors, microphones, consoles, EQ, compression and other studio basics are taught. This class assures your ability to function and communicate intelligently and confidently while in a studio environment.
TRCoA’s Pro Tools class is a one-on-one screen share class held one hour per week for 15 weeks with our industry expert Audio Engineering instructors. This class emphasizes and prepares aspiring audio engineers for both in-studio and live concert venue recordings using the industry standard Pro Tools. Topics discussed are Pro Tools basics, hardware and equipment, signal flow, recording, editing, mixing, mastering, automation, plugins, console to DAW integration, and troubleshooting.
Options for Hip Hop, Electronic-EDM, Pop, and Live DJ production are offered. This class is designed to bridge the gap between basic audio engineering and beat production using Pro Tools and your choice of Ableton Live, Logic Pro, or FL Studio. The end goal being for you to fully produce your tracks from creating the beat or mash ups, to recording vocals, and mixing/mastering a final product for the world to hear.
